Mama June Fans Call Out Scripted Show, Want It Canceled?

When Mama June was asked if her reality show was scripted, she said it was not. Her immediate response was this:

“Look, I wish our life could be scripted, because y’all have watched it all. Y’all watched Alana grow up in the pageants. Y’all watched our family, you know, lose one show … we bounced back and came back, and I went through a weight loss, I went through drug addiction, I went through recovery. I went through losing my family, getting my family back. All of that cannot be made up. I wish it could.”

However, her daughter, Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird has said not everything is completely true. Her family lives in a show house during filming and some storylines are created. Now, with more information resurfacing, viewers are seeing this is not a true reality series and think it is time for it to be canceled. Though it looked like Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson lived with Pumpkin while in high school, that might not be true.

It came out she started living with her boyfriend, Dralin Carswell when she was sixteen. There were also reports she lived with her sister, Jessica Shannon. With that knowledge, a Reddit thread was started. The OP added this: 

• I wonder what else is fake as well. They continue to make it look like she lives with pumpkin and Josh when we now know that has not been the case for a long time.

Alana’s Fake Room

When Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson had to share a room temporarily with her niece, Ella, viewers noticed it had nothing of Alana’s. It was completely fit for Ella further proving she did not actually live there. Mama June viewers called out Alana’s boyfriend, Dralin Carswell, and Pumpkin’shusband, Josh Efird. They talked about how they preyed upon the girls when they were underage and that is completely inappropriate. There is a lot wrong with the show but if people keep tuning in, it will not go anywhere. Especially with Anna Cardwell’s cancer storyline this season tugging at heartstrings.
