Natalie Mordovtseva and Josh Weinstein’s future seems uncertain on 90 Day: The Single Life.
A moment at the end of Monday night’s episode teased some instability in their connection as Natalie admitted she has “to think” and “make some serious decisions.”
In the teaser for next week’s drama, Natalie calls Josh “f—ing weak” as they argue about their relationship status. “I’m genuinely sorry, and…” Josh says to Natalie in an emotional moment, before she throws the insult and storms out.
It comes after what seems to be a brutal heart to heart between Natalie and her mom.
Natalie’s mom questioned why Josh has been dragging his feet in terms of taking the next step in their relationship. “Josh had an entire year and still hasn’t asked you to marry him,” the mom says. “I want grandkids, for you to have a family, a husband.”
Natalie dines with her mom, who is still hoping her daughter will reconcile with her estranged husband, Mike.
And it’s what Natalie wants, too, so she’s said in past seasons of 90 Day. Natalie and Josh’s relationship still hasn’t taken huge leaps, as the duo has been waiting to see what happens. They took the next big step when Natalie moved from Florida to Los Angeles, the city Josh lives in.
But their timeline may not be the only thing holding them up. Natalie is still legally married to Mike. Beyond that, there are still some strong family ties holding her estranged husband close.
Natalie’s mom still has a soft spot for Mike — the first man who brought Natalie to America and financially supported the mom’s ability to flee Ukraine.
The mother-daughter duo FaceTimed the Seattle-based ex to say hello on Monday night’s episode. Mike was cordial with his ex (and ex-mother-in-law), and even planned a lunch date to meet with the women soon.
Natalie told cameras she fears her mom’s love for her ex may prohibit her from forming a strong connection with Josh, who Natalie wants to move forward with. And if next week’s episode is any indication, it seems Josh has a ways to go with winning over Natalie’s mom (and maybe even Natalie herself.)
