On the next General Hospital, spoilers for Wednesday, May 22, 2024, focus on characters grieving, battling for their future, and doing damage control.

Coming up in Port Charles

Gregory’s (Gregory Harrison) death throws several characters into a world of pain and grieving. Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) wants to make sure Chase (Josh Swickard) is “ready for this.” Thankfully, she’s right there for him because he’ll need her strength to help him process this loss.

Meanwhile, it looks like Lois (Rena Sofer — who recently got remarried) has a plan for the Q manse because she’s already talked with Monica (Leslie Charleson), “and she is all for it.” What do the Quartermaines, like Ned (Wally Kurth), have to brace themselves for? What’s she cooking up?

Poor Violet (Jophielle Love). Obviously, her Grandpa’s death hits her hard. She’s upset she didn’t get to say goodbye to Gregory. How will Finn (Michael Easton — who recently paid tribute to Kamar de los Reyes) ease her pain?

Elsewhere, Coach Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) ensures Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) is calm and ready for this mammoth undertaking. Does this reinstatement hearing finally get underway?

Kristina (Kate Mansi) reacted hard to witnessing her dad beat up and threaten Dex (Evan Hofer). While she may not want to see him or hear from him right now, surprisingly, she’s not giving up on Sonny (Maurice Benard). She admitted she doesn’t want to see him go down his crime. In the promo, she’s on the phone wondering how soon someone can get there. Is she talking to her sister, Molly (Kristen Vaganos), the Assistant District Attorney? Or Dante (Dominic Zamprogna), her cop brother? Who else could she be summoning?

Furthermore, Kristina has already enlisted Michael’s help to smooth things over with Dex. But, understandably, he might not want to make this disappear. He tells Michael (Chad Duell) that this is their best chance to stop Sonny. After all, it’s what their original mission was, right? How does Michael respond?

Finally, Sonny wants to know what his detective son is accusing him of. Unlike his dad, Dante is on the right side of the law. At the same time, he loves his father and has his best interest at heart. Does Dante figure out there is something seriously wrong with Sonny?
